What is Color ?
(i) Colors are produced by shadow movements when combined with the spectrum of the human eye. The appearance of things results from the light in which they reflect the colors of light, red, orange and green.
(ii) Mainly the seven colors are considered to be the colors of the Sun. Because these 7 colors also appear in the rainbow, the seven colors of the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, and violet.

Types of Colors
There are mainly three types of colours:-
(i) Three Primary Colors: Blue, Red, Yellow, These are fundamental colors, that is, they are not made by mixing any color, but by mixing these colors other colors are made.
(ii) Three Secondary Colors: Violet, Orange, Green , These are the colors that are prepared by mixing the primary colors
(iii) Six Tertiary Colors: Blue-Violet, Red-Violet, Yellow-Green, Red-Orange, Yellow-Orange, Blue-Green , Tertiary colors are the colors that are formed by mixing two secondary colors.
Use of Colors
★ Color determination makes it easy for us to identify an object. Like, i.e if a car is painted red. so, it is called a red car.
★ Based on the properties present in the colour, it is widely used in the technical field. Like. ie. Graphic Designers use colors for drawing a design or painting.
★ Color is also used as a signal. Like - for traffic, for danger marks, for peace etc.
★ Due to the presence of colours, we see each object in different colours.
★ Colors are also used to establish identity. For example, nowadays political parties establish their identity by using colours.

Colors of Rainbow
A rainbow is a multicolored curve that occurs in the sky after rain. It is the result of reflection and refraction between sunlight and water droplets. When sunlight passes through water droplets or rain, the light is refracted and the droplets reflect it off the surface,As a result, it gets refracted at different angles. The different colors we see in a rainbow are caused by different wavelengths of light, because light is refracted at many angles, all angles creating different wavelengths.This results in a distribution of different colors.
